Q. 1: The angel Jibrael-Gabriel questioned, “O Muhammad tell me about Islam?”
A: The Messenger ((SAW)) answered: Islam means:
1. To testify that none is worthy to be worshipped except Allah and that Muhammad (SAW) is Allah’s Messenger.
2. And to offer prayer (five prayers in a day and night)
3. And to give Zakah. (Obligatory charity, which is paid two and half percent of a certain amount of wealth)
4. And to observe fasting during the Holy month of Ramadan.
